A successful bespoke furniture manufacturers in Saltash, Total Design have been making homes more beautiful for over 12 years.

I was recommended to Kevin and Wendy who had had a previously poor experience with a web designer.

What the brief was to build them a website that looked as good as one of their installations. They are a family business and all their staff come from the Westcountry and this was something they wanted to promote through the site. They also wanted to make a statement against local competition and show just how much more they can offer than DIY stores. Finally, it needed to be striking and incorporate red as their main colour.

Being a very visually attractive offering it was important to make the designs centre stage, and what better way to do that than using lots of photography. With literally hundreds of successful installations to choose from I was able to create a site that showcases the extent of their ability and creativity. The site is 'customer case study' based, with lots of opportunity to find inspiration and advice. The case studies themselves are not textually heavy, rather the photography does the talking.

The site is built using Joomla 1.5 Content Management, so the team can make changes to their own website should they wish, although they are happy to leave it to me and get on with their day job! It is CSS based and uses javascript galleries to give movement to the site.

Kevin and Wendy are very pleased with the end result and had their first 'website' customer within 24 hours of the site going live!
